I want to welcome you to the Tulsa Police Department Blog. We are looking forward to sharing with you our goals and intentions for the Tulsa Police Department and the City of Tulsa. Please feel free to let us know your thoughts and how we can serve you better.

I am excited about the election of our new Mayor and I have remained very busy working with her and her team. I am confident that the Department will continue to maintain the highest standards.

This is our city. Having proudly served as a Police Officer for over 35 years, I know that this is the best city in the United States. Together, we can make a difference and I welcome your help in continuing to make Tulsa a safe community.

I specifically would like to address the murder of Brittany Phillips in September of 2004. Is there any way possible to incorporate unsolved murders into your blogging here?

It may in one way or another put some focus on murders in the area, and also bring in some tips.

To the unknown commenter above, we have seriously discussed our plans to post unsolved homicide cases as blogs in hopes of creating yet another avenue for their possible solution.
