Crime of the Week, 09/29/08

CRIME TYPE:  Two Counts First Degree Murder
DATE: July 09, 2008
TIME:   12:00 PM
LOCATION:  2600 E. 41st North
VICTIMS:  Teonte Ray, Tajuan Davis
SYNOPSIS: On July 7, 2008 at about noon, Teonte Ray and Tajuan Davis were sitting in a vehicle parked along 41 street North between Delaware and Lewis Ave. Both victim were shot at close range and died from the wounds. Officers canvassed the area and developed leads in the case but have been unable to make an arrest in the case.

Crime of the Week, 09/22/08

CRIME TYPE:  Armed Robbery
DATE:  September 6, 2008
TIME:  7:55 PM
LOCATION:  4507 N. Peoria Ave.
VICTIM:  Family Dollar
SYNOPSIS: On September 06, 2008 a black male enters the store wearing a light blue shirt with black pants with white stripes down each side of the leg.  The male appears to be in his early 20’s.  When the suspect enters the store he partially covers his face with his hand and appears to be avoiding the store cameras.  The suspect hides in the store. At 8:21 PM, the man comes from the back of the store (after hours) with his face covered with a black bandana carrying a silver/black semi-automatic handgun.  The suspect has the employees get on the ground and then has the female employee unlock the front door.  The suspect then places a call on his cell phone and at 20:24:55 hours a black male enters the business.  This suspect is wearing all dark clothing and has his face covered with a Spiderman mask. The suspects order the clerks to open the registers and emptied the money into a backpack.  The suspects then exit the store at 20:28:24 hours.

On September 19, 2008 I (Det. Gatwood) gave a copy of the Robbery video to POI to show on Crime Stoppers.

Crime of the Week, 09/15/08

CRIME TYPE:  Homicide
DATE: February 24, 2008
TIME: 10:25 AM
LOCATION:  9733 E. 33rd St. Apt #811
VICTIM:  Ociel Sanchez
SYNOPSIS:  On the above date and time the victim exited his apartment to walk to the trash can when he was approached by the suspect who produced a gun and demanded money. When the victim refused the suspect shot the victim. The victim stumbled back into his apartment where a short time later police and EMSA responded. The victim died from his injuries. The suspect was described as follows. Black Male, 6’00, 140-150 lbs., 18-22 years old.

Crime of the Week, 09/08/08

CRIME TYPE:  Armed Robbery of a Financial Institution
DATE: September 5, 2008
TIME:  10:00 AM
LOCATION:  4132 E. 51st Tulsa
VICTIM:  Oklahoma Central Credit Union
SYNOPSIS: The suspect walked into the Oklahoma Central Credit Union and approached the counter armed with a small silver semi automatic handgun. The suspect demanded money while pointing his handgun at the teller. The teller complied with the suspects demands. The suspect then attempted to exit the store, but was trapped in the foyer of the bank. The suspect then shot the front door and exited through the broken glass.
